Learning the game

I think that golf is a great game to learn for everyone. It is a game that anyone can play at about any age. If you can stick with it you will learn patience and sociability among other things. It is a game that people of any age can play and its a great way to make friends. It is also something that can be played by both male and female alike. This is a great bonding experience for couples because even though you can be competitive it isn't a game where seem mean by playing your game. Since everyone plays their own ball there is less negative feelings about one playing well or better then the other. It is also a good time for people who aren't good at conversing to spend 4+ hours with people with similar interests and be able to practice these valuable skills. Pretty much I think that golf is a great game and everyone should play.

A couple courses

I'm from western Kansas and more specifically Garden City. In this small town in western KS there are two very fun golf courses that don't get the recognition they deserve. They have been rated as two of the top courses in the state of KS and I have played them both and are both very fun courses. They have similar set ups with it being mostly open (hard not to be in Garden City) and a few hilly holes but overall pretty flat. They have the deep rough of the Gunch as we call it and it gets pretty windy so despite its lack of trees these added factors can make the course pretty difficult. These two courses are Southwind Country Club and Buffalo Dunes. Dunes is a public course with very reasonable rates. Southwind is a Country club but is still pretty inexpensive relative to other country clubs. I would definitly suggest if you wanted a golfing weekend to book a hotel and head out to Garden City KS for a couple of fun courses.
